Product details Dry suit VIKING HDS

The Viking HDS suit sets the standard among rubber dry suits. These HDS suits are made from NITECS, a new material developed by Ansell Protective Solutions (formerly Trellebord Protective Products) using a US patent. NITECS provides unsurpassed chemical penetration protection along with exceptional wear and tear resistance. NITECS offers a high protection index against aggressive chemicals and hydrocarbons. NITECS is five times more abrasion resistant than PRO material. I used to call the suit HD 1000 and HDS 1000.

  • Material used: NITECS material is HNBR rubber compound, on double-sided knitted polyester lining. The total weight of the material is 1050 /- 100 g/m2.
  • Internal seams: stitched for safety and taped with elastic tape. External seams vulcanized with 25 mm rubber tape (vulcanization is a chemical bonding process guaranteeing the waterproofness of the seams).
  • Reinforcement: Viking HDS suits are equipped with an additional layer of reinforced NITECS material with a structured anti-slip surface. High stress areas such as the area around the zipper and along the shoulders are protected. As well as trousers from around the thighs down to the knees and along the front of the legs to over the boots.
  • Each suit comes standard with the following accessories: braces, bag, instruction manual, repair kit, zipper care material.
  • EN 14225-2:2005 BIO micro organism approval HZ chemical approval. CE certificate No. 12090COS01 Rev 1.

This eliminates the need to disconnect the hose and eliminates the possibility of contaminated water entering the suit. Non-magnetic filling valves.

Dump valve On the left-hand arm: Viking X2 dual exhaust valve for added safety. Non-magnetic drain valves.
Boots The standard boots are part of the suit, follow the trousers and are finished with a heavy-duty flexible rubber sole that is sewn and glued. The sole is made of non-slip material to achieve grip. there is a fin strap holder on the heel.
  • Neoprene shoes
  • Nitrile safety shoes with metal sole and toe
  • PVC shoes - not safety
Neck cuff Surveyor latex neck cuff Latex bottle neck cuff, neoprene neck cuff, quick release collar system that allows quick replacement of a damaged neck cuff.
A pupa The Viking HDS suit must be equipped with a hood for diving in contaminated waters. A Magnum hood made of suit-like material with a smooth cheek cuff and drawstring is recommended.
Cuffs Latex PRO cuffs HD latex cuffs
Sleeve circles To achieve complete waterproofing, the suit can be equipped with a rubber ring cuff system with a solid outer rubber ring and a loose inner rigid plastic ring that holds the latex cuff in place. A plastic bayonet glove ring system where a plastic ring is attached to the sleeve and the replaceable cuff is secured in place by this plastic ring.
Glove Both of these systems allow the use of latex gloves or Viton® butyl gloves/ or nitrile or chloroprene gloves.
