  • All-metal technology: excellent mechanical stability and high thermal conductivity ensure that our metal second stages have an extremely long life and are ideal for cold water dives. In addition, the high thermal conductivity of the metal reduces the feeling of dryness in the mouth during the dive.
  • DFC system, dynamic flow control: minimizes the drop in central pressure that occurs during the inhalation phase and maximizes air supply, especially in extreme conditions.
  • ACT valve, advanced coating technology: the new valve in the “X” first stages has an extended life of an incredible 600%, even in very demanding, extreme conditions.
  • Twin Power: flow control, the so-called Twin Power, regulates the amount of gas supplied in the second stage. In the VAD position, breathing feels like traditional Mares, while in the VAD position, the amount of air delivered is higher.
  • VAD system: all Mares second stages are equipped with a unique patented VAD system. When air flows through the bypass into the mouthpiece, a vortex is created and a vacuum is created in its center. This causes the movement of the diaphragm during the inhalation phase, which has the effect of improving the automatic response and facilitates breathing at any depth.
  • Mesh Grid: patented second stage membrane cover construction
