Diving Weights, belts for divers
Weights, belts for divers
Are you looking for weights for diving? Whether you are a scuba diver or prefer freediving, it is necessary to be equipped with the appropriate weights for both types of diving.
Weight belts are commonly used to fasten around the diver's waist, on which you place the required amount of weight. In practice, we distinguish two basic types of belts. You put the appropriate amount of lead weight blocks on a regular belt, and you insert blocks or bags with shot weight into separate pockets in a pocket belt. A separate chapter is rubber weight belts for freediving.
Other types of weights can also be used when diving – technical divers prefer separate pockets attached to the harness, back carrier or even the ankles of their dry suits. Their goal is then to achieve the right balance when using different types of equipment. Working divers also use weights on additional equipment or other parts of the body. Freedivers, on the other hand, may choose additional weights for so-called rapid immersion or deep descent.
Proper balance will make your stay underwater easier and more enjoyable. There is a whole range of types of weights and it always depends on the specific needs or preferences of each diver.
