Scubadiving Open Heel Fins
The basic equipment for moving in water and under the surface are high-quality fins. The differences in their types and situations of use are very wide, which is why it is important to pay due attention to the choice. Diving strap fins are designed and adapted primarily for diving with breathing apparatus, diving with special equipment, for demanding technical diving, for wreck diving, jet diving, cavers, etc. Strap diving fins are made of high-quality and durable materials, which make the fins almost indestructible equipment for every diver.
Diver fins have reinforced ribs on the sides of the blade, which make strokes more efficient. Some ribbing is specially made to support flow, stability, enhance propulsion or perhaps to reduce leg fatigue. Thanks to such designs, the fins acquire excellent hydrodynamic properties.
Open-heel strap diving fins are fins with a hole for loose fit over a neoprene or rubber boot. You attach the fins to your foot over the heel with a rubber strap or steel spring. Some straps and springs are equipped with a tool for easier fit over the boot, or the straps are equipped with a plastic buckle or quick-release fasteners.
We offer diving fins from top brands such as Mares, Cressi, Tecline, Aqua Lung and Scubapro. Fins are not always made of only one material, some models are combined from 2 or 3 different mixtures. This is for greater durability, efficiency or performance. Fins with bungee straps or stainless spring straps have negative buoyancy, which will please especially divers in dry suits, who do not have to deal with ankle loads.
The foot openings are ergonomically shaped for a better feeling when diving. The fins fit easily into the shoes and have an effective effect. When choosing, focus on the correct size of the shoes used, ideally with the possibility of trying them on directly in the store.
Strap diving fins can also be used for snorkeling or bare-bones diving. In that case, you will always need the right fin boots, which can be purchased separately, unless you use them from your wet or semi-dry diving suit kit.
