Diving Diving knives
Diving knives
Getting tangled in a rope or fishing line during a dive and being left without help is a nightmare for many divers. An old net that gets your foot stuck in is actually no threat if you go into the depths with the right equipment, which definitely includes a quality diving knife . Going into the depths without it would be very risky. What should a diving knife look like and what should it be able to do?
A folding knife is not a suitable choice in this case. Searching for it underwater, closing and opening it is time-consuming, inconvenient and the delay that may occur can even be dangerous. Therefore, it is better to choose a knife with a fixed blade. It fits perfectly in the hand, is stored in a case where we know where it is and always have it at hand. Reaching for the knife at the moment of need must be clearly instinctive, so do not change the place where you have the case, even if you buy a new diving knife.
The blade size of a diving knife should be between 10 and 15 centimeters. A larger one would unnecessarily interfere and a smaller one would not provide sufficient performance when working underwater.
The combination blade , which offers both a straight and serrated edge, is the standard today, which you can also find in our offer. Two different working surfaces on all sides are an advantage. When cutting ropes, the serrated side is irreplaceable.
